Juz Amma Journalists (Apply Today)
Juz Amma Journalists (Girls Ages 9–11)
Juz Amma Journalists is a year-long language arts program that brings the Qur'an to life through reading, writing, reflection, and meaningful discussion. Designed exclusively for girls ages 9–11, this immersive course uses the tafsir of the surahs in Juz Amma as the foundation for developing strong literacy skills while nurturing a deeper relationship with the Qur'an.
Students will explore the themes, lessons, and wisdom found in each surah through engaging, project-based learning that encourages curiosity, thoughtful reflection, and confident self-expression. Every lesson is designed to strengthen both academic skills and Islamic character.
Throughout the year, students will develop their abilities in:
Expository writing
Creative writing
Poetry
Journaling and reflective writing
Grammar and language mechanics
Vocabulary development
Reading comprehension
Public speaking and presentations
Research and hands-on projects
Our goal is to cultivate articulate, thoughtful young Muslims who can communicate with clarity, write with confidence, and develop a lifelong love for both the Qur'an and the art of writing. By studying the meanings and messages of Juz Amma, students will deepen their understanding of Allah's words while growing as compassionate, critical thinkers and skilled writers, inshaAllah.
